Let me put it this way, I am about to go off to post-secondary education and in Canada, University is extremely expensive. Meg may very well be in the same situation as I am . . . NO MONEY! So in order to pay off for school she has taken a job as a Camp Councillor. (like some of my friends) Unfortunately, she has taken a job at the wrong Camp at the Wrong Time.

....

Right away we classify Meg at a bitch, but try to understand where she is comming from. She has just gotten off from school and she is working (something I can relate to), it doesn't always put me in the best of spirits knowing that I have ZERO time off.

Still, she has this bitchy feeling about her the whole movie and I was quite shocked to see a different side of her when she was all ready to suduce Mel, but more of that later . . . "For those of you who don't know . . . the name's Meg, M-E-G, got it!?" This sets the stage for later famous lines such as the case in the volleyball scene. I really think that Meg is more mature that she is made out to be, perhaps she is angry with everyone around her? I know I can be at certain points in the day.

Her attitude toward the kids is that of extreme authority, this is one of the methods that can be used to "whip" kids into shape so they respect you, but Meg over did it and her friendship with Judy (THE BIGGEST WHORE OF ALL TIME) doesn't help her out much. In fact, I think that Meg was once a patron of the Camp and she had recently become a councillor. She may be emulating past councillors that she had in the past. But as the case, when people try to be like someone else, they over exagerate the part that they feel is most important. . . In Meg's case it is being mean and bitchy. We see this when she throws Angela in the water

All power trips aside, Meg is a good girl and quite the little slut. The dinner that Mel owed her is quite the indication that they have already had a bit too much fun, (a la Artie style in the Walk-In) but this could be linked to her assumed financial problems. Boinking the owner/your boss, could very easily get some extra pay.

What troubles me most about Meg is her feelings on life. It appears that she has given up (how true in the shower scene)and that being mean is the only way to cope with her pain . . . I am glad that she died/got killed when she was in a happy state of mind :-)
